Why WHNS
How it works
You can receive WHNS into your Ethereum wallet (Metamask, Coinbase Wallet, etc) just like you receive any other ERC20 token. If you don’t have WHNS, you can buy some directly on a DEX like Uniswap.
Namebase will wrap HNS in a limited capacity manually before we launch self-serve wrapping. Email whns@namebase.io with the amount you’d like to wrap to indicate your interest (higher amounts will be prioritized initially). US customers can unwrap HNS but are not able to wrap HNS at this time. There are no wrapping fees at this time.
Unwrap HNS by emailing whns@namebase.io from your Namebase account email. We will fulfill your unwrap request within 7-14 business days. You do not need a verified account to unwrap HNS, though note that account restrictions will still apply. There are no unwrapping fees.
